Vista Las Palmas Homes

Tucked between Old Las Palmas and the mountains lies the area known as Vista Las Palmas. Developed mostly in the late 1950’s and early 60’s these homes are surprisingly affordable and yet have the best that Palm Springs has to offer. Close proximity to downtown eateries, art galleries and hotels yet tucked away for close to the mountain for a feeling of seclusion. This is one of the biggest draws for Vista Las Palmas; 15 minutes by foot away from downtown and yet there are no street lights.
Once populated by more celebrities than any other area of Palm Springs, Vista Las Palmas was considered a dead area in the late 80’s. All the stars had left for Rancho Mirage and areas that were newly sewn with golf courses and resorts. But in the last decade, attention to Vista Las Palmas and the treasures hidden there has risen sharply. Many home renovators have taken the beautiful mid-century modern homes in the area and brought them back to their former glory. This has brought up the average home price in the area and made investing much more lucrative.
Because of all the star attention that occurred so long ago, Vista Las Palmas includes some of the finest homes in Palm Springs. While some need attention, you are getting the highest density of Alexander homes in the area. The same thing goes for Eichlers and it includes the Kaufman house as well. These homes are the ones that bring in the highest returns on investment, and for some early buyers this has meant home values that nearly doubled. Despite the housing market, Vista Las Palmas has shown that it is resilient and home prices have stayed stable or increased.
Friendliness may be one of the biggest additional boons to living in Vista Las Palmas. Residents describe meeting people on the street, and after a short conversation inviting them out to dinner. These are symbols of a truly healthy neighborhood.
