Douglas Smith and his wife and business partner, Josie Smith, quietly opened the doors to Sparrows Hotel in Fall 2013. But, even without the typical hotel opening fanfare, the Sparrows was named one of the most anticipated openings in the country and has since received overwhelming praise for its high-design and rustic, simple charm.
