Tahquitz River Estates

With 1,100 homes, Tahquitz River Estates is one of the city’s largest neighborhoods and offers a variety of architecture spanning almost 90 years. Tahquitz Creek bisects the neighborhood, and in 1947 Peter Trousdale, a Los Angeles developer named it Tahquitz River Estates and sited 200 homes near the water’s edge. The neighborhood is an eclectic mix of old Palm Springs houses, modernist homes and quirky motor courts.
